About Widdershins

Widdershins is a journal for the watches you actually wear. Log the one on your wrist today, and honest stats about your collection take shape: which pieces you reach for, which sit in the box, how your rotation really looks over a year, not how you imagine it looks.

The name

Widdershins means counterclockwise: old dialect for going against the sun’s path, the wrong way round a churchyard, the direction a watch’s hands never turn. It’s a quiet name for a quiet habit: the two seconds it takes to note what you’re wearing, going the other way from every app that wants your attention for longer. It’s why the mark up in the corner turns the way it does.

What you can count on

  • Private by default. Your journal is yours. We don’t publish it, sell it, or use it to sell you anything else.
  • Export anytime. A CSV or JSON of everything you’ve logged, whenever you want it, no questions asked.
  • Not a shop. No marketplace, no affiliate links, no “watches you might like.” We’re not in the business of selling you a next watch.
