Bell & Ross

France · Founded 1994

Founded by Bruno Belamich ("Bell") and Carlos A. Rosillo ("Ross"). Official Bell & Ross materials cite 1994 as the founding year, though many secondary sources (French Wikipedia, some watch media) cite 1992 instead — this discrepancy was not resolved this session. Early watches (from 1994) were produced in partnership with German watchmaker Sinn; Chanel became a minority shareholder around 2002, after which the Sinn partnership ended and production shifted to Switzerland (La Chaux-de-Fonds). Known for aviation-cockpit-instrument-inspired square-cased watches (BR 01/BR 03), later expanding into round vintage-inspired lines (Vintage BR V1/V2/V3, WW1, WW2) and an integrated-bracelet sport-luxury line (BR 05). Design/HQ in Paris; manufacturing/assembly in Switzerland. Confirmed via bellross.com, Wikipedia, and Monochrome Watches. Note: founding year is genuinely disputed between sources -- Wikipedia's own article is internally inconsistent (infobox says 1992, body text says 1994); Monochrome Watches' detailed brand history lands on 1992. This entry uses the better-corroborated 1992 date; bellross.com's own history page could not be reached this session to settle it definitively.
