Illinois Watch Company

Chartered in Springfield, Illinois in 1870, passing through a couple of interim corporate names before settling on Illinois Watch Company in the late 1870s under Jacob Bunn's leadership. Hamilton Watch Company bought the firm in 1927; Springfield manufacturing wound down in the early 1930s, and Hamilton kept the Illinois brand name in limited use for a few more years afterward.
