MeisterSinger
Germany · Founded 2001
German manufacture founded 2001 in Munster by Manfred Brassler; headquartered in a former harbor warehouse in Munster with Swiss movement production based in Biel. Best known for single-hand ("Einzeiger") watches inspired by medieval tower clocks and historical single-hand timepieces, reading time to five-minute precision via functional typography (continuous double-digit hour numerals 01-12) rather than conventional hour/minute hands. Holds a leading market position in single-hand watches; produces roughly 10,000 watches per year and sells in around 56 countries. Rainer Eckert joined as co-CEO alongside Brassler in 2022. Most models use modified Sellita base calibers (SW200/SW210/SW220/SW300) adapted to drive a single combined hour-minute hand; the Circularis line (introduced 2014) uniquely uses the brand's own in-house manually wound caliber MSH01/MSH02.
